Who are the FOX NFL halftime commentators that will grace your TV screen each Sunday for the next four and a half months? Let’s take a look at the crew!
Who are the FOX NFL halftime commentators in 2021?
The NFL is officially back for 2021, and the FOX NFL Sunday crew you’ve come to know and love is back again to break down all the action during the half. They’ll also headline the FOX football pregame show, as they always do.
The FOX NFL pregame and halftime show commentators
FOX Sports will once again distill its pregame and halftime content into the FOX NFL Sunday package. It’s one of the longest-running and most-watched programs on the NFL landscape. Studio host Curt Menefee will head the program. Menefee will be joined by four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw and Hall of Famers Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, and Michael Strahan.
Bradshaw won his Super Bowls with the Steelers. Strahan, meanwhile, put up 141.5 sacks with the Giants from 1993 to 2007. Long was a fixture on the Raiders’ defense in the 1980s. Additionally, Johnson coached the Cowboys to two Super Bowl victories in the 1990s. Together, this crew will handle the NFL pregame show, FOX NFL Sunday, and the FOX NFL Halftime show from the studio in Los Angeles, California.
FOX NFL Insider Jay Glazer, who always brings pertinent information ahead of games each Sunday, will join the team occasionally. The crew’s return for 2021 is a welcome sight, especially after COVID-19 impacted availability at times. In Week 11 last season on November 21, 2020, Chris Myers had to fill in for the group.
FOX NFL Kickoff features more prestigious on-air talent
In addition to their FOX NFL Sunday program, FOX will also roll out its FOX NFL Kickoff show. That program, which will take place each Sunday at 11 AM ET, will feature Charissa Thompson as the host. Thompson will not be alone as she makes her return to FOX. She’ll also be joined by former Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick, Super Bowl champion Dave Wannstedt, and former Packers and Raiders defensive playmaker Charles Woodson.
Additionally, FOX will roll out a host of combinations on game day to break down the action live. Groupings include the following:
Play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt with Greg Olsen and Pam Oliver
Adam Amin with Mark Schlereth and Shannon Spake
Kenny Albert with Jonathan Vilma, Sara Walsh, and Lindsay Czarniak
Chris Myers with Daryl Johnston and Jennifer Hale
Kevin Kugler with Mark Sanchez and Laura Okmin
Gus Johnson with Aqib Talib and Megan Olivi
In addition to NFL coverage, FOX Sports will also regularly cover college football action each Saturday for the next few months.
