NFL Games Today TV Schedule: Time, channels for NFL preseason games today

The 2021 NFL preseason really kicks into high gear today with 10 games. Included in that are four NFL preseason games on the national TV schedule. With two days of action to warm us up and one more still to come on Sunday, let’s take a look at what today’s NFL games have in store for us.

Are there NFL games today?

A busy day of football action kicks off with the Miami Dolphins facing the Chicago Bears at 1 PM ET. That will be the first of the four back-to-back games on NFL Network, spanning more than 12-straight hours of coverage. Immediately following that, the Denver Broncos will battle the Minnesota Vikings at 4 PM ET on NFL Network.

The day jumps into high gear at 7 PM ET. Between 7 and 9 PM, seven games will begin. The NFL Network offering will feature an intriguing matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars. The other 7 PM matchup is the New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens.

That is then followed by the Cincinnati Bengals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7:30 PM), New York Jets at New York Giants (7:30 PM), Houston Texans at Green Bay Packers (8 PM), Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers (8:30 PM), and Seattle Seahawks at Las Vegas Raiders (9 PM).

The day’s final game sees the Los Angeles Chargers take on the Los Angeles Rams at 10 PM. That game is the last one of the day being televised on NFL Network.

Predictions for the nationally televised games

In the NFL game today between the Bears and Dolphins, it appears as though the Bears have more to prove on offense. The Dolphins have a reasonably settled group on both sides of the ball. Therefore, we could see the Bears’ offense playing harder for longer. Current NFL odds have the Bears as roughly three-point favorites.

In the game between the Broncos and Vikings, it is likely we see more from the Broncos’ offense. Both defenses are reasonably set, but there are a lot of questions for the Broncos’ offense. Thus, we could see them keeping their starters in the game for more than one drive. That is likely why they are around three-point favorites currently.

The Jaguars are reportedly having an open competition for their starting QB position. Meanwhile, the Browns have next to nothing to work out offensively. Look for the Browns to be careful with their key players, which should play into the Jaguars’ hands. Again, this is why the Jaguars are three-point favorites.

The Rams will be playing their third and fourth-choice QBs in this one. While the Chargers will likely not be going all-out, they should have the superior QB play. The Chargers are also nearly three-point favorites.
