Is there Monday Night Football tonight? NFL preseason games for Week 1

The 2021 NFL season got underway last Thursday, but is there another game on Monday Night Football tonight? What are the preseason primetime games this year, and what is the Monday Night Football schedule this season?

Is there preseason Monday Night Football tonight?

Despite the NFL preseason getting underway with the Hall of Fame Game last Thursday, there is no Monday Night Football tonight. The Hall of Fame Game is a standalone game in what is essentially viewed as Week 0 of the preseason.

In fact, we have to wait until Week 2 of the preseason to get our first Monday Night Football game of the preseason. ESPN will broadcast the matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, August 23. The game will form one of 28 preseason games on national TV.

ESPN will show two games in Week 2 of the preseason. They will also broadcast the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals on Friday, August 20.
