Gimme Him: One player Giants would steal from Rams

The New York Giants (1-4) will host the Los Angeles Rams (4-1) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey this Sunday afternoon.

That, of course, provides those of us here at Giants Wire the opportunity to hypothetically steal from the Rams’ roster in search of depth and/or talent upgrades for Big Blue.

So, who’s it going to be?

There is, of course, the talented 6-foot-2 Cooper Kupp, who is always tempting but doesn’t necessarily fit a Giants need (injuries be damned). There’s also veteran cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who would help beef up a vastly underperforming unit.

Of course, Ramsey would likely struggle just as James Bradberry and Adoree’ Jackson are without a pass rush up front.

For that very reason, we shouldn’t draw this out further. Everyone knows exactly who they would steal from the Los Angeles roster and Big Blue would be no different.

Enter game-changing superstar Aaron Donald, who is probably going to completely destroy the Giants’ makeshift offensive line in Week 6.

Donald, a seven-time Pro Bowler, six-time All-Pro and three-time Defensive Player of the Year, is arguably the most dominant defender in the NFL today and one of the most dominant since the days of Lawrence Taylor.

Since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2014, Donald has not had a single season with a Pro Football Focus grade lower than 90.2 (2014, his rookie year) and he’s every bit as dominant against the run as he is against the pass — although his run defense has weakened a bit this year.

What more even needs to be said? Donald is the best player on the field every single week and no team could possibly pass that up.

What are your thoughts, Giants fans? Would you pick Aaron Donald or would you steal an entirely different player from the Los Angeles Rams?
