Giants near the bottom in PFF’s 2021 power rankings

The New York Giants aren’t getting a whole lot of respect in the NFL 2021 preliminary power rankings circuit.

Seven losing seasons over the past eight years will do that. The Giants are just 15-33 during Dave Gettleman’s three-year tenure as general manager and there are few pundits and experts giving them much of chance when it comes to being in contention this season.

In Pro Football Focus’ latest 2021 power rankings, Big Blue came up small again, ranking 26th out of 32 teams with a ‘Super Bowl Win Probability’ of just one percent.

No one can be blamed for glossing over the Giants when ranking NFL teams. They’ve drafted in the top 20 in eight of the last nine seasons and have very little to handle their hats on roster-wise. They have one playoff appearance since winning Super Bowl XLVI in February of 2012 and aren’t worthy of the national television exposure they continue to get.

This past offseason however, the Giants have made major improvements to their roster via free agency and the draft and many believe they could sneak back into the playoff picture this season.

But that has to be seen before it can be believed. The Giants have not learned how to win has team under quarterback Daniel Jones and most experts want to see that first before putting any stock in this club.
