The New York Giants haven’t used a high draft pick on a linebacker since they selected Virginia’s Clint Sintim in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
Sintim was more of a pass rusher, an outside man, but we really never got to see him do much of anything as injuries ended his career after two seasons.
Since then, the Giants have basically used free agency to fill their linebacker needs. They have drafted a few as well, but all have come in the later rounds.
This season we will see more of the same. Late round draft picks surrounded by free agent pick ups. Here is a rundown of the Giants’ inside linebackers as they prepare for training camp.
